Do you have a story?

12 Oct

We’re collecting stories from Utahns who have taken the plunge and switched to alternative transportation to help clear our air. As we all know, our actions directly impact the quality of the air we breathe, and taking steps to drive down your vehicle miles is something every resident must to do help improve our air – and quality of life.

Do you have a story to share? Have you tried public transit, Teleworking, e-Traveling, or carpooling/vanpooling? We’d love to hear from you!

Have you saved money? Saved time? Saved your sanity? Do you always carpool on Red/Yellow air days? Take TRAX on snowy winter mornings for a stress-free commute?

Share your story right here for a chance to win prizes! We’ll be giving away a family ice skating pass to the new Gallivan Center (good for skating & rentals for up to 4 people), a $15 gift certificate to Uinta Brewing Company’s Pub, an annual pass to Millcreek Canyon, $25 gift card to W Lounge, family guest pass (good for up to 6 people) for the Utah Museum of Natural History, and a vacuum bottle to keep your beverage of choice hot (or cold!) on your sustainable morning commute.

We’ll be picking winners at the end of November, and the prizes will go to the best testimonials.

Here’s an example to get you started. . .

“Once I started taking the bus and TRAX to work, I realized that my stress levels were decreasing. And then it hit me – I just plain don’t like driving! I spend all my time tensed up behind the wheel, grumbling at other drivers and feeling guilty when I try to sneak a peek at my Smartphone at stoplights. Now, have a full ½ hour to prepare for my day in the morning and unwind after work. I’m never going back to my old, nerve-grinding commute!”

Testimonial from Clinton Gardner (@clintongardner) on Twitter –

“I get a heck of a lot of reading done on my air-friendly commute, @cleartheairutah; reading is an essential part of my work.”

    Thanks for sharing!
